This single-use
device is supplied sterile and ready for use as a closed system
for the repeated, safe delivery of approved therapeutic agents into
the middle ear and, in particular, to the round window area, to
facilitate the control of disabling vertigo arising from active
unilateral Meniere’s disease.
The soft, silicone rubber flange is introduced via a myringotomy
incision and the tubing is sutured to the pinna of the ear. The
medication is then delivered from a Luer syringe, via the external
valve.
